in my head

borrowed
blue

false
tall small
medium
plain
fancy
of value
worthless
nautical
naughty
knotty
things I’ve been given
& taken
certainly beach things
the salt smell when the
wind blows onshore
things that remind me of
nothing
others that do
things I’ve destroyed
things I’ve created
like this poem
as a gift
for who?
For You!
deeply sacred things
statues of God’s icons
demons & delights
Holy Scrolls tablets
of clay & stone
stele mounds standing
stone mono & mega lithic
burial chambers heaped
w/treasure Boy King
sarcophagi golden &
precious gem encrusted
masks milk&honey
afterlife welcoming
things
things that have been delivered others
never sent
clues; hints; answers
to things that make
me wonder
things I knew
one’s I didn’t
things that tell time
but not why or where

we know from right

where we come on over

where safe is out

how could words/pictographs/ideograms
even begin to explain it?
but is in us deep way down
below skin/blood/bone/nerve &
muscle that bright Holy Spot
